Website for nail salons where the infill books itself

Most of your week is people you already know, back again at three weeks because that is when a set starts to grow out. Before any of them choose anything, they want to see the work, and the work lives in photographs on a phone.

The site runs on your own domain, with SSL, hosting and nightly backups in every plan. From €49 to €199 a month, excluding VAT.

One Tuesday, three times over

None of this is really a diary problem. It is that the decisions all get made at hours when both of your hands are busy.

Ten past nine, before the first client

The first message of the day is a photograph of somebody else's nails and the question can you do this. You can, and it is a from-price rather than a set one, and saying so properly takes four messages back and forth. Meanwhile your nine o'clock is already taking her coat off and looking at you.

Half two, halfway through a set

Once she is sat down she mentions that she would quite like some art after all, or gel toes while she is here. Those extra twenty minutes have to come from somewhere, and the somewhere is the client booked in at three. Decided in the chair is decided far too late to plan around.

Twenty past eight in the evening

Her set is three weeks old and starting to lift, she is on the sofa with her phone, and she is looking at pictures. If yours are on a page with a price and an open Thursday sat next to them, she books there and then. If she has to send a message and wait until tomorrow, by tomorrow she is looking at somebody else's pictures.

Four things worth setting up properly

There is more in the product than this. These four are the ones that fit the three week rhythm.

A new set and an infill are not the same length

A full set takes what a full set takes, and a two week infill does not. Each goes in with its own length, so the diary stops offering an hour that was never going to be an hour, and anyone picking a design with a from-price can see that it is a from-price before she chooses a time.

The add-ons get ticked at booking, not in the chair

Art, gel toes, taking off somebody else's work: put them up as extras attached to the service and she ticks what she wants while she books. The appointment grows by the right number of minutes at that moment, and your three o'clock still starts at three. Discount codes work the same way for a quiet week.

Three weeks later, without you counting the days

The confirmation goes out as she books. The reminder goes out before the appointment, so a client who wrote the time on the back of a receipt gets it again somewhere she will actually look. Sending by e-mail comes with the plan, and text messages can be topped up as prepaid credit if that suits your clients better.

She rebooks herself and the slot comes back

Her booking carries a link of its own, so a Wednesday that has turned into a Friday is dealt with in a few taps by her. Wednesday afternoon is open again immediately, at exactly the hour when somebody else is sitting scrolling and looking for one.

A price list that answers the messages for you

You decide what to call things and what to charge. What matters is the pricing type, because some of this really is a set price and some of it honestly is not.

Service Pricing

New set, acrylic Fixed price
Infill Booked on the three week rhythm Fixed price
Soak off and repair Fixed price
Nail art per nail Depends on the design From-price

Services can sit in categories, gel, acrylic and extras for instance, each with prices of their own, and your photographs sit on the page beside them.

The questions nail techs ask first

Yes. Photographs go on the page and can sit alongside the service they belong to, so somebody looking at a design is looking at the price and the next open time at the same moment.

As a from-price. It shows a starting point and makes clear that the rest depends on the design, so nobody turns up expecting an amount you never actually quoted.

That is what the extras are for. Each one carries its own minutes and its own price, and the appointment gets longer the moment it is ticked, not once she is already sat down.

Yes. Any service can be limited to the hours you want it in, so a full set will not be offered on a Monday morning while infills will be.

With a page of your own instead, on your own domain, carrying the prices and the booking. The builder puts a first version together from a description of the salon, and you edit it by clicking the pencils on the page.

The plans go from €49 to €199 each month before VAT. Every one of them runs your site on your own domain with SSL, hosting, nightly backups and support behind it. Text messages are bought as prepaid credit.

Put the salon on a page of its own

Write a few lines about the salon and a first draft comes back with the services, the pricing types and the booking in place. Then the photographs go up, the amounts become your amounts, and anything you do not like changes with a click on the pencil beside it.
