Most people are looking at a real site within the hour and publishing the same day. The slow part is not the building. It is deciding what your prices should be.
Start with two sentences or an old address
Something like: I run a gardening service in the south of the county, mostly hedge cutting, lawn care and clearance, weekdays and Saturday mornings. That is enough to get a first draft of the whole site.
If you already have a site, paste its address instead. Your existing text is read in and used as the starting point, so the paragraphs you sweated over three years ago are not thrown away.
What to have to hand before you start
Your list of services and what you charge for them. Your opening hours, including the ones you actually keep rather than the ones you meant to. A phone number and an email address. A logo if you have one, and a handful of photographs of real work.
None of it is compulsory to begin. You can start with the services alone and add the rest as you go, since everything on the site stays editable afterwards.
Reviewing and changing what it wrote
This is where you earn the site. Read it as a customer would and change anything that is not true or not you. Every piece of text has a pencil beside it: click, type, save.
A hair salon might merge two services into one, drop a treatment they no longer offer and rewrite the paragraph about the walk-in policy. Ten minutes of that turns a decent draft into your actual business.
Publishing, your domain, and what runs it afterwards
Publishing is a button. Connecting your own domain means adding a couple of DNS records, and we recognise most providers and show you exactly which lines to enter. The domain and your email stay yours throughout.
After that, managed hosting takes over and stays out of your way. We run and monitor the servers, apply updates and close security holes. HTTPS certificates renew automatically, backups are taken nightly and the restore is tested nightly so the copies are known to work.
When making it yourself is the wrong call
If you genuinely hate writing and every sentence about your own work makes you cringe, a copywriter for an afternoon is money well spent. The draft gives them a structure to work from, but somebody still has to decide what you sound like.
And if your business needs a booking flow with unusual rules, or a design that must match an existing brand exactly, an agency build will fit better than a platform will.
